Click

As I opened my car door the other morning to head off to work, I glanced to my right and saw a glaring light shining right at me. The sun was a fireball exploding through the trees. Lately it has become habit for me to carry my camera with me at all times. Every day I see something that is worthy of capturing although I don't always have time to stop. I chastise myself often with a reminder to leave for work a little earlier...just in case. I promise myself to get up early on the next sunny day and head to Kitty Coleman Beach. The Comox Marina beckons me as does the Courtenay Airpark and Millennium Park. Goose Spit, Seal Bay and even Miracle Beach are destinations for this spring and summer. Hasty photos like the one above are not even close to being how I would like them, but it's a work in progress. Hopefully as you check out my photos, you'll see improvements as time goes by. Click.

Remembering....

If you were here with me yesterday, I would have lit 79 candles.
I miss you and love you and think about you every day.
Happy Birthday, Dad!

Play It Again

Today is the first day of the new year. The day that we all make a resolution or two, even if only secretly. We all have things we want to change about ourselves, our lives, our jobs, and our dreams. The first of January is the usual designated day to start this process. It is also the start of the end. It has been proven that new year resolutions don't work. We all start off gung-ho and loose steam after a couple of weeks. So...I do not have a new year resolutions. After taking off the month of December, I am now going to continue what I have been doing the whole of 2006. I will head to the gym on a regular basis with renewed vigor. I will go back to choosing the healthy alternative when it comes to food. (not that I don't have my back sliding moments) I will continue making an effort to keep in touch with old and new friends. I will pursue my interests in photography, become more computer savvy, get back into reading, maybe go on another coffee date or two, and generally try to keep myself from falling into that huge rut that could easily become my life....
